Role / Client Service Associate
Hiring a Client Service Associate
The position clients actually deal with day to day, and the most requested role we fill. Permanent, direct-hire placements for advisory practices in all 50 states.
What to look for
Character
first, then
paperwork
This role absorbs the calls the advisor does not take: the transfer that has not landed, the statement that looks wrong, the client who is anxious about a market week. Most of the job is staying calm and following through, and neither shows up on a resume.
It also sits close to client money and client data, which is the case for the integrity survey and personality profile in Standard. For firms without their own tools, this is where the extra thousand dollars pays for itself fastest.
Registered or not
One decision
changes
the pool
If the role needs to be registered, say so early: it is a materially smaller pool and a different pay band. Plenty of practices hire unregistered and sponsor the licensing afterwards, which widens the field considerably if you can carry the ramp.
Related roles: Client Service Specialist for a more senior version of the same work, and Financial Advisor Assistant where the job is built around one advisor rather than the client base. See the financial services overview.
