Hiring a Financial Advisor

A producer hire, and the one most likely to be expensive if it goes wrong. Permanent, direct-hire placements for independent practices, RIAs and wealth management firms nationwide.

Ask whether those clients would follow, and whether the advisor’s way of working survives contact with your process, your custodian and your compliance expectations.

Fit matters more here than in any other role in the practice, because an advisor who does not settle takes relationships with them when they leave. This is the role where the Elite tier earns its price: skills assessments, a recorded interview, and matching against a personality baseline of your existing team.

Practices adding an advisor frequently need the support around them at the same time: a Financial Advisor Assistant to protect the advisor’s calendar, and a Client Service Associate to carry the day-to-day client contact.

If the role is more planning than production, look at Financial Planner or Certified Financial Planner instead. See the financial services overview for the full picture.
