What your fee pays for

Why half is due before you meet a candidate

Most recruiting firms bill almost nothing up front and take a large commission at the end. We do it the other way around, and it is a fair question to ask why. This page answers it.

The work happens first

The search is
most of
the job

By the time a candidate reaches your inbox, the expensive part is already done. The compensation range has been set against your market, the ad has been written and placed, our own database has been worked, passive candidates who were not reading job ads have been contacted directly, and everyone who made it through has completed the process steps you selected.

None of that is recoverable. It is spent whether you hire the first person we send or the fourth, and it is the reason the first payment is due at the start rather than the finish.

Itemized

What the first payment covers

Setting the role up

Account setup, the intake call, and compensation research for that position in your market so the offer is competitive before it goes out rather than after a candidate declines.

Finding people

Writing and placing the job ad, then the part that costs real time: working our own database and approaching people who are doing the job well somewhere else and were never going to answer an ad.

Learning about them

Every step you chose, carried out before anyone is submitted. Phone interviews with written notes as standard, and profiles, integrity surveys, skills assessments or a recorded interview if your package includes them.

The two payments

Split down
the middle

Every My1Hire package is billed in two equal payments: one when the search begins, one on completion. Basic is two payments of $2,995, Standard two of $3,495, Elite two of $4,495.

The number does not move with the salary. A percentage fee on an $80,000 hire runs $16,000 to $20,000 and you do not know the figure until the offer is signed. Here you know it before the search starts, and it is the same whether the role pays $55,000 or $150,000.

The point is that you stop paying for candidates you would never have hired. Compare the packages.

Next step

Ask us what the role should cost

One intake call and we will review your hiring scenario to see which level of the process best fits your needs.
